Hi, I'm Lauren!
I grew up in Sumter, SC, and now live in Mount Pleasant, SC with my three daughters and husband. I consider myself a self-taught artist mainly because I have never studied art, or taken any formal art classes. It was through experimenting with different mediums, where I was able to find my art style that reflects my life. I have an innate ability to combine colors that create a piece of art that truly completes a room. By creating pieces I would hang in my own home, I know my art will please my clientele. If you don’t see something with colors you like, but you like my style, I am happy to work with you on a commissioned piece. The positive feedback I receive from past clients is what drives my passion to make others happy with my art.
Inspiration behind the artwork
“Heartbeat art is a special piece of art that I started painting after my second daughter was born. I wanted her to have a piece of art that she could cherish as her own. I took one of her heartbeat printouts from a sonogram at our last doctor's appointment and made it into an abstract art piece using her nursery colors. It's a keepsake for her to have forever.”
